Alert Level 3 Update
It is great to see how New Zealanders have united and all worked together in the fight against Covid-19 and as a result we will all move to Alert Level 3 from Tuesday 28th April 2020. This move brings more allowances for businesses to operate.
The REINZ group have confirmed that real estate salespeople will be able to conduct appraisals, private viewings, and final inspections with the prior consent of the relevant parties involved and adhering to the procedural guidelines set out by the Real Estate Institute (REINZ). Open Homes are still not permitted under level 3.
Property Managers will be able to conduct appraisals and private viewings and property maintenance works will be completed with the prior registration and consent of all parties and adhering to the procedural guidelines.
Under level 3, the Auckland District Law Society have advised that property settlements can take place and people are allowed to move residences. We recommend affected clients to contact their solicitor.
Our office is still to remain closed to the public. All our real estate agents, property managers and support staff will continue to work remotely from home and can be contacted via email, mobile or landline as per usual.
Information during Level 4 Lock-Down
On behalf of all of our staff at LOCHORE’S, we would like to wish all our Vendors, Landlords, Tenants, prospective Purchasers and long time clients, all the very best for you and your families in keeping healthy and safe as we all work together to deal with the changes arising from the Covid-19 outbreak.
The REINZ group have confirmed that real estate is not deemed an “essential service” therefore we are no longer able to conduct Open Homes, private viewings & building inspections until the lockdown is over. Property maintenance works will only be completed for urgent work which would affect an owner’s or tenant’s health and safety.
During the lock-down period, the Auckland District Law Society have recommended that property settlements be deferred until after the Alert Level 4 restrictions have been lifted. We recommend affected clients to contact their solicitor.
All our real estate agents, property managers and support staff will be working remotely from home from now onwards and can be contacted via email , mobile or landline as per usual.
Keep well and keep safe over the coming weeks.
