After over 50 years in the business, real estate veteran Paul Lochore remains passionate and enthusiastic about real estate.
Over the years Paul has been much awarded by the industry including the 2000 Kelvin Tremain Memorial Trophy for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution and the 2003 Australasian Robert Bevan Best Practice Award. Paul was the first New Zealander to receive this.
Real estate is in his blood. Paul’s parents started their Wellington real estate business in 1950. By 16, with his mother’s support, Paul had bought his first investment property. At 18 he started selling real estate for Anker Homes real estate department. In his first year he sold over 70 homes. Soon afterwards he joined his father’s business – R F Lochore’s, where his successful run continued, and which he took over when his father died in 1968.
In 1977 Paul moved his family and business from Wellington to Auckland’s North Shore, where he built a new business from scratch into the successful company it is today.
Paul is well known in the local community, having served on school boards, the Birkenhead Licensing Trust, Birkenhead Council and the North Shore Hospital Foundation Board.
